I write to you in what can only be described as extraordinary and unprecedented times. It continues to be a difficult time and I am conscious that this pandemic has impacted all of us whether it be our physical health, mental wellbeing, or own personal employment circumstances.
The officers have continued to run the club in these turbulent times and work continues to maintain its financial stability. Our main club sponsor Softco and other sponsors The Chawke Pub Group, G-Mack, Fanagans and Morgan Crowe continue to be very supportive, as have those who have taken a pitch hoarding, an advertisement in the yearbook, or helped financially in any other way. We are extremely grateful.
We have not been able to hold our usual fundraising events and the lack of rugby and clubhouse activity is now putting a severe strain on the club’s finances. We had to cancel several member events for the previous 2019/2020 season, and we are not optimistic in holding any of our planned 2020/2021 season fundraising events.
In what is a first in the rich history of this club we are now reaching out to all our members to donate what they can. We explored many other options first which were simply not financially viable. Ideally, we are seeking €250 from each member. We fully understand and respect if you are not currently able to do so.
If you can donate, please follow this link: HERE
We do not know what the future will bring or when we will see the normal hive of rugby activity around Templeville Road again. However, with your help, we want to be ready and able to reopen the club safely and resume full rugby and all club activities as soon as is allowed.

Stay Safe and hope to see you all soon.
